Primary 2/1 Learning Highlights 17th January 2025

This week we have been continuing our work on subtraction in maths. We have been using a numberline to help us to solve the different subtraction sums. We have also been learning to count in 10s all the way to 100.

In Literacy, we have been learning the sounds x and z. We also started our reading books and have been confidently trying to read to each other. In writing, we wrote the instructions for brushing our teeth.

For RE, we discussed how we are all unique and how we all have a name. We also discussed how our families show they love us.

We were very excited to make our junk model robots this week. We used lots of different craft materials to make them come to life! We are looking forward to playing with them next week. We have been continuing our learning on coding by using the Beebot App and Scratch Junior. We enjoyed working together to make a little animation.

We finished the week by celebrating our 100th Day of school for this year. We had a 100 hunt during Outdoor Learning and we decorated the outdoor classroom with lots of number 100s. We then made 100 day crowns and necklaces. We finished our celebration by having a 100 snack!
