This week in P1

We have had a busy week of learning this week in P1.

It is internet safety week so we read a story about how to use our devices safely and for writing we made fantastic posters telling people to be safe online.

This week in math we have been learning about odd and even numbers. We enjoyed a story about Even Steven and Odd Todd and sorted numbers into whether they were odd or even.

We have been revising our initial sounds this week and worked on using our sounds to build CVC words. We practiced holding sounds together to help us better blend words.

Our new topic is Living Things. We worked in small groups to sort pictures into whether they were living or non living. There was lots of good discussion. For outdoor learning this week we went into the playground with tablets and did a living thing hunt. We were excited when we found some worms underneath a tyre.
