P6B - WB 24.03.25
Dear Readers,
As always, we hope you are all doing very well.
The highlights of this week were:
- Our spelling words and weekly spelling assessment, let’s see how well we’ve done with that and if we will be able to start using those words in our writing.
- Our reading comprehension on what Biomes are and the main types of Biomes.
- The Information Report that we have written about Biomes and the five major types of Biomes.
- Adding and subtracting decimal numbers.
- Our Sumdog Spring Challenge. Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to put into it but the good news is that we have still managed to come first in our school!
Since this was a challenge for the whole of the United Kingdom and 2243 classes have participated, finishing in 181 th place was okay and we thank a lot to the boys and girls who helped us reach this position, especially the ones who went home to play everyday!
- Our door stoppers that we have decorated and placed in the Altar to show that ‘We are opening our doors to God’.
- The Lenten walk keeps going and we have already walked some hundreds of kilometres as a whole class by now!
- Many congratulations to Zac, our Hot Chocolate of the Week for his very much improved attitude towards learning across the curriculum!
Well done, Mr. Zac, soooo proud!
- Congratulations also to the Scary Seas table, who won the prize for the best, most organised and tidiest table of the week! Well done again to Zac, Renna, Mariam, Ishani S, Ishani M, Layla, Lyon, Aiden and Amelia!
- Well done to Amelia who has been trying really hard to get better at her behaviour and who has been showing great improvement!
That’s all for now, we say goodbye wishing everyone a great weekend with their loved ones!
