Primary 1B Learning Highlights 29th August 2025
This week we have been learning all about the numbers 2 and 3. We used yellow paint to practise writing the number 3. It was great fun! We also played a game on the Smartboard to practise recognising numbers to 20. We had to click on the correct number to send the helicopter to help the person.
In Literacy, we have been learning all about Beginning, Middle and End. We started by looking at the line on the farm for the animals to be fed and then at a bus stop with children waiting to board the bus. We then had to listen to three different sounds and say what sound was at the beginning, middle or end. For writing, we wrote about a strategy we could use if we are angry. The staff were very impressed with everyone who was trying to write their sentence.
In PE, we have been continuing our work on listening and following instructions. We played the corners game and the fruit game. Our listening skills in the hall have been excellent!
We talked about how important our families are and we created some artwork to show our families. We have also looked at angry and anxiety spot and linked these to our Zones of Regulation.
Here are some of our personal highlights this week:
Alfie – I enjoyed making the family pictures.
Alayha – I enjoyed playing in the area.
Grace – I enjoyed drawing.
Lincoln – I enjoyed writing the number three.
Tejasvi – I enjoyed playing in the house corner.
Aayat – I enjoyed playing in the ice cream shop.
Congratulations to Grace who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week. She has been a kind and caring friend to people in our class.
