P4A Weekly Update - 12.9.25
First of all we would like to thank everyone who came along to watch our class assembly this morning. We think you will all agree that the children were amazing! They have been working really hard over the past few weeks to learn about famous inventors and their inventions, and they were very excited to share their knowledge with you.
We have had a really busy week getting ready for the assembly but we also managed to fit in lots of hard work too.
In Literacy, we learned about ‘bossy e’ and practised spelling lots of words with this spelling pattern e.g. bike, time etc. We also continued to read our class novel ‘The BFG’. We found some words that we didn’t know the meaning off and looked them up in the dictionary.
In Maths, we have been working on place value up to 1,000 and we have also been learning more about the properties of 3D shapes. We made some fantastic posters to demonstrate our work.
Since we have been learning about Scottish inventors, we thought it might be a good idea to learn about some famous Scottish artists. We have been looking at the work of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and created some water colour pictures in his style.
Huge congratulations to Cameron who was our hot chocolate winner this week. Cameron has been working very hard all week and has been kind and helpful to others.
Have a great weekend everyone!
