P7A Learning Highlights 3/10/25
Dear Parents and Carers,
Primary 7 have had another busy week with lots of active learning!
Many children were excited about their visit to St Margaret’s Academy Open Evening! They are all looking forward to their future visits to the school! In maths we have been learning to visualise shapes from different angles and use cubes to physically make the 3D shapes. Most of us really enjoyed the activities but some of us found it really tricky !! Our class continued to add to our dens that we have been building during our outdoor learning at Deans Woods. During writing, we used a variety of photographs as a stimulus for our imaginative stories. In science and technology we made spaghetti bridges. We considered what design would make them strong and we tested them with a 1kg weight.
Here are some of our highlights:
Julia- ” I enjoyed going to mass at St Peters. ”
Emily- ” I really enjoyed the maths where we had to visualise shapes from different angles.”
Mia- ” Den building was fun! ”
Ameya ” I enjoyed imaginative writing, where we used pictures as a stimulus.”
Congratulations to Lily on being our hot chocolate winner this week.
Well done to Ena who is our class reading champion for the next two weeks.
Have a super weekend
Mrs Lea and P7A
