Primary 1B Learning Highlights 14th November 2025
This week we have been learning the sounds ‘o’ and ‘e’. We are very excited to have more vowels so that we can make lots of words. In writing, we wrote a sentence about the cat on the mat and used lots of common words.
In RE, we learned about Remembrance Day and made some artwork to display outside the classroom.
In Maths, we have been continuing our work on addition and we have enjoyed playing games to use our skills.
We started our new topic all about robots. We sorted pictures to show which were robots and which were not. We then read the book ‘Robot Rumpus’ and designed our very own helpful robots.
For Outdoor Learning, we went to the Woodland. We used the flints to make sparks all by ourselves.
Here are some of our personal highlights:
Lincoln – I enjoyed doing the robots.
Carson – I enjoyed making the robots.
Hanna – I enjoyed doing writing.
Tejasvi – I enjoyed doing PE.
Mikayla – I enjoyed making the poppies.
Ignacy – I enjoyed playing as a robot.
Congratulations to Eloran who is our Reading Champion this fortnight. He has shown a lot of interest in finding common words in books during ERIC time. Well done to Victoria who is our Hot Chocolate winner this week. She always has fantastic manners and tries her best in all tasks.
