P1A Weekly Learning Highlights 5th December 2025

We have been practising very hard for our Nativity and had a practise wearing our costumes.  We were all very excited and can’t wait to perform for you all next week.

This week we introduced the sounds h and u.  We did some word building and also dictation of simple sentences.

In Maths we worked on addition – we are all trying very hard and our teachers are proud of us.  We are working on quick mental recall

We recapped recognition of coins, worked on ordering them by value and then made amounts using 1p coins. Some of us even managed to make amounts using different coins.

Topic we learned about emergency vehicles and looked at what is inside each vehicle to help look after people in an emergency.

In Gym we practised dancing for our Christmas Party.

Today we had our area advent service, P3/2 led us in hymns and prayers and we lit the second purple candle on our advent wreath.
