Primary 1B Learning Highlights 5th December 2025

This week has been a very exciting week. We had our first Christmas lunch on Tuesday and it was delicious. We also got to try on our costumes for the Nativity and we were very excited. We also decorated baubles for our class Christmas Tree.

We have been taking it in turns to open the Advent Calendar. We have a picture one and a book one. We are very keen to get our turn to open it.

We have been practising our party dances and games in the hall with P1A.

We have been learning all about the sounds ‘h’ and ‘u’. We have been reading and writing words.

In Maths, we have been learning to add up different amounts of money. We are using lots of different strategies to get the answer. We have been trying to remember to write ‘p’ for pence and attempted to write the pound sign.

On Friday, we enjoyed getting together with the P2s and 3s for our Area Advent Service which was led by P3/2.

Here are some of our personal highlights:

Victoria – I enjoyed doing the Nativity songs.

Tejasvi – I enjoyed having Christmas Lunch.

Aria – I enjoyed wearing the costumes.

Aayat – I enjoyed decorating the Christmas Tree.

Alfie – I enjoyed doing handwriting.

Ignacy – I enjoyed drawing.

Congratulations to Lincoln who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week. He has been trying hard to read and spell CVC words.
