Hello to all P4A families!
In P4A this week we have had a great week of hard work and fun. It has been a very busy week back at school and we are all ready to start our new term!
P4A started their week on Tuesday with some music with Mrs Morrison that we all really enjoyed. P4A have been learning all about the drums within music and have had the chance to practice their own beats with the drumsticks.
Tadiwa ” I really loved our music lesson with Mrs Morrison, it was so fun”.
P4A also went to mass at St Peters with Miss Maxwell and Mrs Timmins on Wednesday. They showed great listening skills and really enjoyed their time.
On Thursday pupils began poetry within their writing. Pupils were very creative and told stories through their poetry and there was a great variety. Prior to creating our poems, we played a game which required us to think of words that rhymed so that we could get inspiration for the poems.
Ethan “I enjoyed the poetry game, I was so good at it”
Pupils have started looking at money within their numeracy and are showing great understanding of the value of coins and notes that we have in our country. Pupils have also been working together to count money and work out different ways that we can make a total by using a variety of coins and notes.
Aadya “The money work in maths is so fun because it is a useful skill for us to have”
Additionally, we have been continuing our Building Thinking Classrooms throughout this week and pupils are continuing to work hard in solving the problems provided in a variety of different ways collaboratively.
All pupils are now familiar with Microsoft Teams and are confident in logging in and selecting their tasks. This will be used in the coming weeks for homework tasks, therefore all pupils have now got their logins home today and a step by step of how to use the platform.
I hope that you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy your Halloween celebrations those of you attending parties this weekend!
Well done to our hot chocolate winner Aadya- Super work all week! well done.
Miss Maxwell.
