P5B Week Beginning 2nd December 2024

Hello families of P5B!  Here are our highlights this week as recorded by the Blue table:

Amelia and David have enjoyed the super ending to our class novel, ‘The Midnight Gang’.  There was lots of cheers for the happy ending.  It had been close to 500 pages!  We are excited to see what the new class vote reveals for our next one!

Flynn said the highlight of his week was when his group won Winning Group of the Week!  He picked slime from the treasure chest for his reward.

Olek and Scott have thought that PE with Mrs Lafferty this week has been great!  They have been preparing for their Christmas party by practising the dances and games.

Georgia and Sean have LOVED making tote bags for the Enterprise Showcase.  They have used fabric pens to write positive affirmations on them or drew animated figures.  We decided to design them so they could be used all year round.

Nicolas has also loved preparing centre pieces as his group’s Enterprise idea and carefully used the glue gun under adult supervision to attach real holly.

Alex said winning the hot chocolate for the Over and Above award was his highlight.  Well-deserved Alex!  Congratulations.

My highlight has been our Advent services.  It has been special to have gathered together as an Area (P4 and P5s together) to think about what Advent means to us and pray to God in song with our beautiful hymns.  This coming Monday, it will be P5B’s turn to lead the service.

I look forward to seeing you at 9.15am on Friday for our P5 Christmas Enterprise event.  The children have been working hard all term to prepare their sustainable decorations to sell to raise money for the charity, Mary’s Meals.  Please remember to bring lots of change as we have no card machine facilities or float (given we are a cashless school).  P5B items will range from 10p-£3.

This week will be the last week for homework for this term.
