Christmas Wishes from all at SJO!

Well, what a busy final two weeks at St John Ogilvie PS.  We have had so many different festive events and we are so proud of all of our wonderful pupils who have really embraced the Christmas Spirit.  Some of our highlights have been:

P1 Nativity – Two amazing performances of Cheeky Cherubs followed by P1 visiting St Peter’s to share their wonderful singing with the Parish.

P5 Enterprise – A super showcase of both talent and creative skills raising money for Mary’s Meals.  Thank you to all of the families who came to support P5.

Christmas parties – A full week of festive fun, dancing our socks off and eating Christmas treats.  P1 also had a visit from Santa who brought them all a small gift.

Sacrament of Reconciliation – P3 children and their families joined Fr Clement at St Peter’s on Wednesday evening to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.  This was a beautiful, peaceful celebration and we are so proud of how well our children prepared in school and at home.  A huge thank you to Miss Duddy for all of her work in preparing the children so well.

Christmas Assembly – We spent some time together today as a whole school.  We sang some carols and said a special prayer together to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.  We also drew our Christmas raffle, well done to all of our winners.

We are delighted to be able to announce that our Advent Appeal has raised £492 which will be donated to Mary’s Meals and will help to feed a whole class of school children for a full year which is 9125 individual meals.  Thank you, as always for your amazing support.
