P5B Week Beginning 24th March 2025
Hi P5B families!
We have reached the last week of term already! I cannot believe we are heading towards our Easter holidays and then one more term to go! Time is flying indeed.
P5 will soon be starting to build their sustainable school model for their Climate Smart Award (if you recall, information was given about this fantastic learning opportunity during ‘Meet the Teacher’ at the start of the year). Can I request that you speak to your child over the holidays about what recyclable materials (preferably but not exclusively) they would like to use for their model and for them to bring them in upon our return. That would be a really big help. The school model will be on a board with the dimensions of 60cm by 60cm. They need materials to represent the walls, roof, grass, soil, woodland, wind turbines, playground benches etc.
Here are a few photos of some of the learning that took place this week in class (apologies but I forgot to take the notes home of what the children enjoyed this week).
My highlight was the lesson on fire lighting. It was great to see the perseverance of the children and the end result of this resilience! Well done Primary 5!
I hope you all enjoy Mother’s Day this Sunday. P5 may have something special waiting for you.
