P4a W/E 4/4/2025
Hello families of P4a, this week we have lots of exciting things to share with you.
On Monday we enjoyed our NYCOS music lesson. We are really enjoying this time and learning new rhythms and sounds.
Aadya said: “ NYCOS is really fun because it is a fun way to learn about music by playing games”
Throughout this week P4a have completed their SNSA assessments and have worked very hard to do so. Pupils completed a numeracy, writing and reading assessment.
On Wednesday this week we went a walk through the community and to our local Morrison’s. Here, pupils were recognising the energy and power that surrounds us in our society as we have been learning all about this throughout our new IDL topic. We even bought some ice lollies as it was a lovely hot day!
Caiden said: “I liked going to the shop with my friends and enjoyed the ice lollies too”
On Thursday we went a walk to Dechmont Law. Here, the pupils learned a lot about the UFO sighting at Dechmont in 1979 and were able to investigate this further when we came back to class. Pupils enjoyed walking up the hill at Dechmont and exploring the woodland area.
Grace said: “I had so much fun when we had our picnic and spending time with everyone in my class outside of school”
Jack said: “I liked learning about the UFO sighting and reading about it at the park on the plaque, it is very spooky”
Laura said “I liked doing the research about it in class when we came back and learning about the facts behind it”
On Friday pupils enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in our class and had great fun!
Mrs Ross from P4B brought her very own Easter bunny into school on Friday and lots of us got to see him and hold him, it was so cute!
Diana said “I really liked petting the bunny and it was super cute! Its name was Domino”
P4A pupils that are making their First Communion have their books home to complete over the holidays.
Our hot chocolate winner this week is Jack! – Well done Jack
I hope that you all have a wonderful break P4! I am so proud of all of your hard work this term. I will see you all in 2 weeks for our final term!! Can you believe it?!
