Primary6A Learning Highlights 4/4/25

Dear Parents and Carers,

Primary 6 have been working hard this week! In Literacy, we learned about the Easter Story and discussed alternative words for those in the passage and why the author had chosen particular words.

In Numeracy, we continued to learn about decimals using subtraction. We shared our strategies for solving mental calculations.  On Monday our class went up to the woodlands and used flints to make a sparks ! We are looking forward to toasting marshmallows on the fire at the end of term! Other groups did outdoor weaving using ribbon and some people made dens for woodland animals. We all enjoyed it!

In art we continued to learn about perspective and used water colour to complete the aquarium. A group of us lead stations of the cross in the P5 Classes as part of our Pope Francis Faith Award.

Ameya, Zofia, Nell, Julia, Hamnah, Baibua and Bailey organised an Easter egg hunt for the P1 children and  they crocheted chicks for them, they looked amazing!! I think the P1  children appreciated all their hard work!

Congratulations to Nell who is our reading champion this week!

Congratulations to Samanvi who was nominated as our Hot Chocolate winner this week for amazing behaviour and work!

Have a lovely holiday !
