Primary 3 Learning Highlights 4th April

Happy Friday to all primary 3 families!

I hope you all had a lovely week this week. We were very busy this week in primary 3.

We started the week off on Monday with lots of spelling and fun maths outdoors!

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to go to Deans High School for our multisports festival, what a great day we had. The sun was shining and we had lots of fun. I will post a separate post with all the pictures for both our class and the children in Miss Mushet’s class who attended so you can all see how much fun we had!

On Wednesday we went for a lovely walk in the sun and enjoyed our day seeing different kinds of wildlife, we even got a chance to have a look in the reservoir at Eliburn park. We seen lots of lovely animals and some of us even seen some animals we had never seen before! To round off our conservation of wildlife topic we watched the animals in Edinburgh Zoo on a live stream! Unfortunately the lions and koalas never made an appearance but we got to see a sleepy tiger, some giraffes and penguins.

On Thursday we had a fun day and got a chance to play a new game called capture the flag and learned the end of the Easter story. The children made and hid eggs then wrote clues to find them, they sent me on a hunt to look for them.

Today we enjoyed a morning of making Easter crafts and watching team Scotland playing in the Transplant European Football Championship! We learned about what a transplant is and how this can help save someone’s life. The kids all cheered on team Scotland who were playing Spain!

You can also have a look at the children’s great habitat creations from last week!

Well done to this weeks Hot Chocolate winner, table point winners and reading champion!

I hope you all enjoy your much deserved two weeks off.

Miss Duddy
