P7A Update 2/5/25
Dear Parents,
Our Lead Learner for this week, Madeleine, is going to update you on what we were doing this week…
On Monday in PE P7a practiced doing long distance running for the event coming up. After PE we did spelling for literacy, then we did numeracy finishing off decimals. Then after lunch for ERIC the class read our class novel ‘A Monster Calls’ reading a chapter. For the rest of the afternoon we started to make posters about voting for the new Pope. We did our daily mile then lastly for IDL we are soon going to start a new topic about Japan.
On Tuesday we did a letter on the netbooks to our woodland friends then we carried on with our a monster calls book. And in the evening made our mini ovens and made s’mores. Also we did drama and we played some games.
On Wednesday, both P7 went to St Margaret’s high school to take part in a sports competition against other schools. And it was called the almond cup. We did a mix of things like tennis, football, javelin and wheelie races. and St. john Ogilvie got 3rd place!
On Thursday morning P7 did music with Mrs Morrison getting things ready for the graduation. For PE we did an activity game with Mrs Lafferty. After maths, in the afternoon for outdoor learning P7 went pond dipping. P7a went to the burn just near Eliburn, and finding some bugs/fish in the water, with our nets. P7 caught loads of fish then releasing them into the water, back into the wild. It was a fun time.
On Friday in the morning we are finishing our Pope Francis posters but then after that is House Groups. During house groups we are gonna be talking, about and doing an activity about hope. For maths we are gonna do timetables then lastly of our week we have Fun Friday, P7A had a fun and interesting week.
Madeleine.
