P4A Week ending 16th May 2025
Hello families of P4A.
We have had such a busy few weeks in P4 and we have been working so hard. Last Saturday we saw the children from P4 make their First Communion and they did absolutely fantastic.
During this week we have had lots of highlights to share with you:
On Monday we started off our new genre of writing which is recount. Here the pupils wrote lovely stories about a favourite day they have had.
Zion said: “I liked writing about my holiday to Spain that I went on with my family”
On Tuesday P4A spent some time outdoors in the afternoon and we have been so lucky to soak up the beautiful weather.
Tiwa said: “I love being outside playing especially when it is sunny”
On Wednesday we went litter picking in the local area. We walked around collecting any rubbish and we made sure that our community was super clean and tidy!
Aadya said: “I liked tidying up because it helps our environment”
P4A have been working hard through time and fractions work in maths. They have shown a great understanding of telling the time on both digital and analogue clocks. I hope they are showing you all at home how good they are at telling the time!
On Thursday pupils took part in an outdoor learning lesson which allowed them to explore our woodlands area and play on the slack line and build dens. Pupils have been researching the different animals and insects that we can find in the woodlands and they built dens for the species of their choice ensuring it had all of their needs inside .
Alicja said: “I liked walking on the slack line, I am getting better at it”
We had a celebration in school on Thursday for all pupils in P4. The Sacrament of Holy Communion has taken a lot of preparation for the children and those who did not make their Communion have been a great support for their peers. We celebrated together and shared some cake, it was a fantastic afternoon.
Rory said: ” I loved celebrating with my whole class and eating yummy cake”
Thank you to all of the families of P4A and P4BB for their support over the past few weeks as the children have prepared for their Communion.
Below is the overview for term 4.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone! See you Tuesday.
