WB 12.05.25 and 19.05.25
Dear Readers,
The highlights of the week were as follows:
- Spelling work as before, together with weekly spelling assessment.
- Various Reading comprehension activities with discussion of the topics and written answers to differentiated questions.
- Finishing off own narratives following what had been taught about the structure and purpose of a narrative and also using the setting and character descriptions created in the previous weeks.
- Learning about Roman Numerals to over a 1000, attempting to write different numbers using the 7 Roman Numeral symbols and converting Roman numerals into base 10 numbers.
- Working on fractions of an amount and starting to work on fractions of a number, learning which will continue in the next weeks.
- The Story of Our Lady of Fatima including the apparitions, the Miracle of the Sun and the Three Little Shepherds – Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta.
- Continue working of Pope Francis Faith Award.
- Learning all the different steps for the election of a new Pope and making posters about this complex process for the walls of the Upper Area of the school.
- We would like to congratulate the Hot Chocolate of the last 3 weeks, Maeve, Matteo and Ishani M for setting a great example of responsibility, kindness and respect! Well done Maeve, Matteo and Ishani!
- Well done as well to The Points Monitors table, who won the weekly award! Super duper good job!
