Primary 3 Learning Highlights 6th June
Happy Friday primary 3 and families!
This week has been great and fun-filled in primary 3. We started off our week with our literacy and we are continuing to practice our common words and reading our books. We started planning our dear future teacher letters by thinking about our goals for next year, highlighting our strengths and next steps for primary 4.
We have been focussing on fractions in numeracy and began to explore fractions of an amount. In beyond number, we have been looking at weight, focussing on heavier and lighter.
In health and well-being this week, we have began to think about transitioning to primary 4, we talked about some of the changes which will be happening, as well as things which will stay the same. We also had time to think about and write out our thoughts on what we are looking forward to and excited for in primary 4.
Topic has been really interesting this week, we got to look at the first moon landing and talked about what we would say if we were the first person to step foot on the moon. We designed our own rockets and then made our own planets with materials from the woodlands during outdoor learning.
We learned about Pentecost Sunday and what this celebration is for. We drew pictures of Jesus’ disciples after they had been blessed with the Holy Spirit by fire.
We had lots of fun practicing our sports day events with Primary 7 during PE and joining Miss Mushet’s class for music this week.
Well done to all of our winners this week.
Have a lovely weekend and I will see you all next week.
