Primary 2/1 Learning Highlights 13th June 2025

This week the Friendly Dragon left us the story of Aladdin. We made our own magic carpets on card and then we used magnets to make them fly across the scene we had drawn on a piece of paper. It was great fun! We also decorated our own magic lamp and wrote the three wishes we would ask the Genie for. Lots of us were hoping that the Friendly Dragon would grant our wishes but Miss Stebbing explained that might be a bit difficult for it!

In Maths, we have been practising our doubles facts and addition skills. We played a new game on the smartboard where we had to hit the button with the correct answer. We got some great scores!

In PE, we have been practising for Sports Day and we even got to have a little competition with the P2s in Mrs Craig’s class. We are looking forward to Sports Day next week.

We all agreed that our favourite thing this week was making the magic carpets!

Well done to Martha, who is our Hot Chocolate winner this week. She wrote fantastic sentences for writing and made sure her work was well presented.
