This week in P1a
What a fantastic week we have had in P1a.
We started to learn our first phonetic sound ‘n’ and had great fun making a monster craft and giving a monster a haircut. We all worked really hard on how to form the letter ‘m’ correctly.
In maths we continued to explore numbers thinking about ordering them, identifying before/after and trying to work out what numbers are missing. We have enjoyed not only counting in English but also in Spanish, so far up to 6.
We looked at the red zone of regulation this week, thinking of things that make us angry and also scared. We drew fantastic black line drawings to show this.
Friday is our outdoor learning day and today we looked at 2D shapes and tried to find them in our environment. Mrs Meikle was so impressed with how well we worked with our partners and we found so many 2D shapes. She let us get some playground toys out the shed, some of us were lucky to have a turn on the bikes and scooters.
We are looking forward to our weekend with our families and coming back to school on Monday all refreshed.
