Visit of the relics of St Carlo Acutis

I was absolutely delighted to be able to attend the schools Mass in St Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh with 2 of our P7 Leadership Team.  Each primary in the St Andrew’s and Edinburgh diocese was invited to attend.

Carlo Acutis was an Italian Catholic teenager. He was known for his devotion to the Eucharist and his use of digital media to promote Catholic devotion. Born in London, England, and raised in Milan, he developed an early interest in computers and video games, teaching himself programming and web design and assisting his parish and school with digital projects.  Carlos died at the age of 15 and was canonised on 7th September 2025 by Pope Leo XIV, he is the first millennial saint.

It was a beautiful Mass in the presence of the relics which we were able to pray to before the beginning of Mass.  Our P7 representatives were excellent ambassadors for the school and I am very proud of them.
