P3/2 Learning w/c 10th November
A brilliant week in P3/2. We enjoyed our outdoor learning with Kids Gone Wild on Tuesday Morning. We walked to the woods and had fun using the hammocks, slack line and zip line although we were very wet when we made it back to school. Israel enjoyed the hammock as he found it very relaxing and Kaya loved everything!
We made poppies to place on our class altar but decided to go big. It was good fun using the paint and some of the boys were delighted to learn how to paint the poppy in a logical manner rather than splashing the paint on,
In maths we were measuring different classroom items in non standard units. We estimated their length and then measured them in cubes, paperclips, counters and dominoes. We then used rules to measure them using rulers to get a standard measurement.
Another highlight was learning about stick insects and creating a shared writing piece describing them. Everyone contributed good ideas and Joy shared that she has previously held one, telling the class about how it tickled on her hand!
We are super excited about book week and are looking forward to exploring our brand new book bags.
Our Hot Chocolate winner this week was Thomas and Rose is our new reading champion.
