Primary 1B Learning Highlights 30th January 2026

This week we have been learning the sounds ‘w’ and ‘z’. We have been reading and writing words using these sounds.

In Maths, we have been continuing our work on addition and subtraction. We had to look carefully at the sums to see which one we had to do.

For Topic, we went on a walk around our school to see the different types of houses. Ask us what types of houses we saw. We also looked at the street signs and ticked off the capital letters we could find.

Here are some of our personal highlights from this week:

Eloran – I enjoyed playing on the OSMO.

Victoria – I enjoyed having a walk.

Aria – I enjoyed playing with the new lego.

Alayha – I enjoyed colouring.

Mikayla – I enjoyed going on a walk.

Lincoln – I enjoyed doing writing.

Congratulations to Alfie who is our Hot Chocolate winner this week. He has shown confidence in reading cvc words and also did some very good writing this week.
