Primary 1B Learning Highlights 1st May 2026
This has been a very exciting week in P1!
On Monday, we received a letter from a Friendly Dragon asking us to help rebuild Fairyland. It has started to disappear because people are not reading enough fairy tales. We all agreed to help and wrote letters to the dragon to say we would help. We received another letter on Wednesday asking us to learn about castles and to make flags. The dragon had lost it’s castle home and wanted our help to rebuild it. We created some beautiful flags and put them up on our classroom wall. We also learned about the parts of a castle. We then drew a picture and labelled it correctly. Miss Stebbing was very impressed with our work. In Literacy, we learned about adjectives and made a word bank to describe different dragons. We then wrote a sentence about the dragon for writing. We are looking forward to reading lots of Fairy Tales and helping rebuild Fairyland.
On Friday, we had a fire in our Woodland Fire Pit. We toasted marshmallows and made s’mores. They were delicious. We sang some songs around the campfire and all agreed that this was our highlight of the week.
Congratulations to Amelia who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week. She is always a kind friend to others and showed confidence in reading during group time.
