Primary 1B Learning Highlights 29th May 2026

This week the Friendly Dragon left us the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We made a healthy basket of food for Granny so that she would feel better. Miss Stebbing was very impressed with how well we were sounding out our words to label the items. The next challenge the Friendly Dragon left us was to sort food to its source, plants or animals. We did a fantastic job of matching up the items with its source. For Writing, we wrote a sentence about The Big Bad Wolf.

In maths, we have been practising addition and subtraction. We also did a Building Thinking Classrooms activity where we had to share food between 3 characters from the story. We had lots of great ideas for sharing the different items.

On Friday, we went to Mass at St Peter’s with our Buddies. It was lovely and we were very respectful. It was great fun to walk with our P7 Buddies and we agreed that this was the highlight of our week.

Congratulations to Sebastian who is our Hot Chocolate Winner this week. He is a fantastic friend to everyone and has worked hard in all learning tasks.
