P1C Weekly Learning Highlights 28th August 2026
What another great week of fun and learning in P1C.
This week we have been learning about beginning, middle, end in Literacy. We listened to sounds and had to identify the sound was at the beginning, middle or end. We also looked at pictures of different animals and people and identify who was at the beginning, middle or end.
We have been learning about the emotion sadness. We listened to stories about sadness and discussed what makes us sad and what strategies we can you to help us feel happy and calm again. We drew a pen drawing of what makes us sad and tried to write about it.
In Maths, we have been learning about the numbers 2 and 3. We played ‘show me, throw me’ and looked at all the different ways to make 2 and 3 using ten frames, numicon, dice, fingers, blocks. We also practised how to write the numbers correctly using whiteboards and large paper on the floor.
In RE, we have been talking about our gifts and talents. Everyone spoke confidently about their talent and we drew a picture in our jotters to show our talents.
