WB 31st August 2026 - Primary 3 Weekly Highlights

Hello Everyone

We have worked very hard in P3 this week. In maths we continued working on numbers to 1000. We learned how to read and write 3 digit numbers and did lots of place value work. We started practising writing the numbers as words.

In literacy our new spelling sounds were a-e, ai and ay. We wrote super stories about Castles. We had lots of different types of castles, including, Haunted, Sparkly and Boat Castles. Our focus was to build good sentences using excellent adjectives.

We had fun exploring maps of Egypt and made our very own maps showing the important places, including the River Nile and Cairo.

Weekly Highlights

Martha, Shourya, Dhawan and Halle – We liked writing our Castle stories and working with 3 digit numbers.

Hallie, Elsie and Alfie – We liked making our maps of Egypt and learning about all of the places.

Zenith and Zoe – We enjoyed doing our new cursive hand writing.

Eden – I liked drawing my cruise ship.

Congratulations to Alfie, our hot chocolate winner. Well done Alfie!

Have a lovely weekend!
