Primary 1B Learning Highlights 4th September 2026

This week we have been learning all about the letter ‘m’ and the common word ‘I’. We had lots of fun finding words beginning with m and trying to write the letter correctly. We also wrote a sentence using I and Mrs McKissack and Mrs McLaughlin came to our classroom to see our fantastic work. We have been making the letter m and I using different toys in the classroom and some people even used their snacks!

In Maths, we have been learning all about 4 and 5. On Friday, we learned how to log into Seesaw and we completed a task on there.

For Science and RE, we have been learning about our senses. This week we focussed on our sense of touch. We had to feel balloons and guess what was inside them by matching them to different pictures. We then spoke about how we can feel different textures and used materials to show each one.

Yahya – I enjoyed learning ‘I’.

Nevansh – I enjoyed using the blocks.

Penelope – I enjoyed drawing.

Rio – I enjoyed learning about number 5.

Well done to our Hot Chocolate winner this week. They have been very kind to others and have been working very hard on all their tasks.
