P1A Week Beginning 31st August 2026

Hello families of P1A!

We have had another action packed week of learning at school!  Here are our highlights from the Blue table: (Only 4 reporting this week due to absences)

Luke said the best part of his week was playtime with his friends!

Vinayak liked forming ‘m’, our phonic sound this week and was very careful to ensure he wrote down and up on the same line.  Well done Vinayak!

Ellie loved placing marshmallows on the shape that ‘m’ made and then getting to eat them!  This was followed by the ‘mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm’ sound.  Yummy!

Leah really liked looking at the contents of the Mystery Box!  The Mystery Box this week had a meerkat, a marble, a marble run piece, a mask, magnets and a capital and lower case m.  Next week, we will move on to learning the ‘c’ sound.

My highlight was when we went up to the woodlands.  The children had remembered how to keep safe up there and enjoyed working together to form the numbers we have been learning about so far in P1.

You will have noticed that some homework ideas were sent home this week for September.  Feel free to post any photos of your child’s super home learning on Seesaw.  I will access Seesaw at various points throughout the week.  Also, look out there for some photos I will post of learning experiences I may have captured of your child! ☺

I hope you all have a lovely weekend and enjoy the photos below.
