Learning Highlights Primary 7B 24.9.26

Dear Parents and Carers,

Primary 7 have had a productive week!

We have been learning to write imaginative stories  based on a “mystery” theme. We have tried to include an interesting ” twist ” in our writing! During spelling, we have been learning about rules for tricky plurals. We also learnt about well known similes and enjoyed making our own examples.

During numeracy, we have been exploring mixed numbers and improper fractions. We continued to practise our “rock” tables. We investigated different types of triangles, including scalene, equilateral and isosceles. Our class entered the West Lothian sumdog competition and are trying to answer a variety of questions accurately. Currently, we are in first position in our school!

Primary 7 worked collaboratively to take on the challenge of building a spaghetti tower, we used glue guns to join the spaghetti and explored how to make the structure strong.

During outdoor learning, we worked in teams to make dens using wood and natural resources.
