P1C Learning Highlights 25th September 2026

This week we have been learning all about the letter ‘p’. We have been learning lots of words that begin with ‘p’ and finding ‘p’ in our library books.  We learned to write Pp and also sorted p/not p objects after sounding them out. We wrote the sentence I like… and also made cut/stick pigs and peacocks.

We looked at the sequence of numbers to 10 thinking about numbers before and after.  We also looked at data handling, making a class pictogram and we looked at using pictures to make a block diagram.

As part of our senses topic we learned that are taste buds are on our tongue.  We tasted different fruit and discussed what it tasted like i.e. sweet, sour and which we liked the best. We used the results to make our pictogram.

We looked at the SHANARRI Indicators and discussed what each one means.

Our Outdoor Learning Sessions will begin on Monday.
