P2 Weekly Highlights wb 21/9/26

Hello everyone, this week in P2 we have been celebrating Maths Week Scotland with lots of fun activities across the classroom and outdoors! 

We headed to the woodland and used tally marks to count all the different types of bugs. We also enjoyed reading the story ‘The Shopping Basket’ to add up items in the shopping basket. We then practiced adding up our own shopping lists. We have also been developing our understanding of place value and continued exploring 2D and 3D shape. 

It has been a busy week of discovering how maths can be used in so many different ways in our everyday lives! 

We have also been busy doing lots of learning across our other subjects this week.

In Spanish we learned the days of the week.

In Writing we had fun creating our own silly sentences.

We planted cress to observe its growth as we explored the natural cycle of life in RE.

Our Weekly Highlights 

Pola- Playing with my friends. 

Andy- I liked spending time with my teachers. 

Grace- I liked planting our cress seeds in RE. 

Lincoln – I liked learning about shape.
