Primary7B Learning Highlights 2/10/26
Dear Parents and Carers,
Primary 7 have had a busy and productive week! We have all worked hard, trying to be the best we can be!
Our class went up to Deans woods to continue working on our dens. We worked collaboratively in teams, using natural resources to add detail to them. During French, we learnt how to say different family words.
Mrs McDonald came from St Margarets to teach a problem solving lesson. We were given different clues and tasks to solve the mystery ! We have been learning how to convert mixed numbers and improper fractions in Numeracy. Primary 7 have also been learning how to calculate the area and perimeter of different shapes. During Topic, we have been researching the similarities and differences between Scotland and Japan to gather information for report writing next week. During “topical talk,” our class discussed the current problem of overcrowding in prisons and how different countries are finding solutions for this.
On Friday, The Fire Officers, came to our school to give a safety talk on bonfires. We all found it interesting.

Georgia- ” I enjoyed learning how to say family words in French! ”
Nicolas and Anthony- ” We really enjoyed Numeracy and Maths this week! ”
Addison- ” I enjoyed writing, where I concentrated on my core targets.”
Rowan – ” I enjoyed P.E , we learnt how to play bench ball ! ”
Moeez” I thought our discussion about overcrowding in prisons was interesting and current! ”
