P7a weekly highlights 02.10.26
This week we have had lots of fun in school.
For our literacy, we have been reading chapters 11-13 of Millions and answering some comprehension questions based on chapters 11 and 12. We looked at prefixes for spelling this week. We had a focus on metaphors in our grammar and did some core target writing, focussing again on handwriting and layout this week.
In numeracy, we have been converting mixed numbers to improper fractions and vice versa. We also have been looking at perimeter and area of a shape.
For topic this week, we were note taking and researching facts about Scotland and Japan and comparing the two. We will be using this research in our information reports next week.
We were lucky enough to have the fire brigade in to talk to us about bonfire night safety. It was very interesting and informative on how to stay safe on bonfire night.
We finished our save the animals posters, had fun during PE, music and outdoor learning and everyone at table 1 got a chance to bake this week!
Well done to all on a fantastic week, have a lovely weekend!
