P1C Learning Highlights 9th October 2026

What another super week in P1C.  This week we have been learning all about the letter t and the common word and. We made our own tiger craft and read the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea.  Mrs Russell brought in a big tiger teddy and tea set and we role played having tea with the tiger.  We looked at pictures of the story and discussed what order to put them in.  Mrs Russell was impressed with how well we completed this task.  We wrote a sentence using all our common words about a cat a mat and a map.

In maths, we have been learning all about the number 13. We have been doing lots of counting forwards and backwards, we even counted up to 100.  We played the game show me a number and we were able to show different ways to make the number.

For Outdoor Learning this week, we were in the Woodlands.  We went over the rules and boundaries and how to risk assess.  We made numbers using loose parts we found on the woodland floor and we had some free play to choose our own learning.

In RE, we learned during the month of October we pray the Rosary to Mary.  We made a class rosary beads for our wall display.

We have started a topic about Dinosaurs, we were able to give lots of information we already know about dinosaurs and also discussed lots of things we would like to find out and learn about them.
