P6B Weekly Blog

Dear Parents and Carers,

Here’s a quick update on this week in P6B:

We have started our new class novel though it is a non-fiction text called Earth Heroes where we are going to read about people making a difference to our planet like David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg.

Multiplication and Division are going well and children have some extra times table work sent home each Friday to help with solidifying fast recall of tables facts.

In science we created our own volcanic eruptions using vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and some red food dye.

Unfortunately we didn’t manage a fire in the firepit on Wednesday as the wind made the woodlands unsafe – we will reschedule.

Blair was this week’s Lead Learner and received the Hot Chocolate at Home reward.

Have a wonderful October break,

Mr McGurn and P6B
